Please note the REGISTRATION PROCEDURE for all Participants . This information will be collected annually prior to participation.
Submit the Rhythms of Grace Session Registration Form and annual $35 registration fee. New participants will pay $75 for an intake evaluation and registration.
Submit the Participant Application including the a) Medical and Client History Forms and b) the Physician Forms. These forms MUST BE SUBMITTED prior to participation. The medical and physician forms willl need to be printed, then mailed or emailed to our office. Call 515-305-7361 with questions. You may also download this Physician Form to print and take to your physician for completion.
New Participants may schedule a Participant Tour during session hours as it may help you evaluate the benefits of therapy and therapeutic riding.
You will be notified of session date openings.
Payment for Therapeutic Riding and Equine Assisted Learning is expected in full the first week of session. Therapy fees above and beyond the therpaeutic riding fees are paid directly to the therapist per fee schedule.
Eligibility, Fees, & Other Important Details

Riders must be two years of age to participate in the therapy program and six years of age to participate in therapeutic riding classes. There is no maximum age as long as there are no physical or medical contraindications.

Our ability to serve clients is dependent on having the appropriate horse available based on our veterinarian’s recommendations for height to weight ratios listed here: Under 5’0” tall = 150 lbs; 5’0”-5’6” = 175lbs; 5’7”-6’0”=200lbs; 6’1”-6’6”=250lbs.

Riders must have a documented disability for therapy and horsemanship programs and present proper release forms signed by a physician. An in-person evaluation and intake assessment prior to enrollment enable us to design an individualized plan for each client’s abilities and need.

A one-time New Participant Intake Evaluation and Registration Fee of $75 is required to determine participant eligibility for riding or therapy.
An annual $35 registration fee and updated paperwork is required annually before sessions are scheduled.
Class fees are charged in advance to cover 6 weeks of programming. Payment is due prior to each session.
Horsemanship & Learning: $65/week (Example 6 weeks = $390)
Therapy is $180/week: $65/week x 6 weeks payable to Rhythms of Grace the first week. The balance is due to therapist and likely covered by insurance.
*Rhythms of Grace does not manage direct insurance billing and does not receive any reimbursements directly from insurance companies. Please check with your provider as some medical plans cover these fees and some flex spending plans cover these fees.

Scholarships may be available to subsidize the cost of horsemanship lessons and will be awarded based on financial need — contact us for more info.

Participant therapy and essons are scheduled via email. Lessons can be booked once weekly or biweekly throughout the session period. A session varies between 6 and 10 weeks. Regular breaks are scheduled between sessions for the horses, volunteers, and riders.
